About the School:

  • The school caters for students aged 4-11 years with Autism, providing a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • The school is well-equipped and resourced, with Sensory Rooms and Therapy Pool, as well as vast outdoor space.
  • Classes are small, with up to 6 pupils, allowing for tailored learning and individualized plans.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Teaching a group in Reception, delivering a sensory-based curriculum and activities.
  • Focus on Speech and Language development, Social Skills, and Relationships.
  • Using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems, including Makaton Signing, Communication Books, and PECS.

Requirements:

  • Qualified and experienced Early Years Teacher, ideally with SEN experience.
  • Availability from February, full-time, for a long-term commitment.
