We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at GLG Vets in Brighton, East Sussex.

Job Overview

This is a locum position starting on December 30th with 4 days per week. The successful candidate will provide top-notch care to our patients in a supportive and well-equipped environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering high-quality veterinary care: We require a Veterinary Care Specialist who can deliver exceptional care to small animals in accordance with best practices of veterinary medicine.
  • Diagnosing and treating conditions: Our ideal candidate will be skilled in diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions while ensuring patient safety and well-being.
  • Communicating with pet owners: Strong communication skills are essential for this role as you will need to communicate effectively with pet owners providing them with guidance on preventive care and treatment plans.
  • Maintaining medical records: Our team relies on accurate and detailed medical records, so we require a specialist who can maintain these records efficiently.
  • Collaboration with teams: As part of our collaborative veterinary team, you will work together to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Veterinary degree: A veterinary degree from an accredited institution is essential for this role.
  • UK practicing license: You must hold a current license to practice as a veterinarian in the UK.
  • Diagnostic and surgical skills: Experience in small animal care, diagnostic, surgical, and medical skills are required for this position.
  • Excellent communication skills: Our ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team: You will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, utilizing your initiative and expertise to deliver high-quality patient care.
Shift Patterns

Our locum position requires you to work 4 days a week with the following schedule:

  • Monday: 0830-1830
  • Tuesday: 0830-1830
  • Wednesday: Off
  • Thursday: 0830-1830
  • Friday: 0830-1830
