Job Type: Permanent

Innotech Partners is collaborating with an established Contractor who specialises in design, installation, and maintenance services for electrical, heating, plumbing, fire, and security systems. They are seeking an enthusiastic Lead Fire Alarm and Security Systems Installation Engineer to join them on a permanent full-time basis.

The standard hours are 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime if desired.

Job Duties
  • Installation of fire detection and security alarm systems, including emergency lighting, remote monitoring, intruder alarms, access controls, intercoms, and nurse call systems
  • Maintenance and reactive maintenance of fire detection and security alarm systems
  • Supporting customers and wider company operations, sales, administration, and operations as required
  • Observing and adhering to company Health and Safety guidelines and contributing to a Health and Safety working environment
Requirements
  • Desirable skills include additional capabilities or basic programming knowledge relating to fire detection and alarm systems
  • Specific product knowledge of manufacturers such as Gent, Advanced Electronics, HAES, Kentec, Gent, Hochiki, Apollo, Vesda, Airsense, Honeywell, Paxton, Control Soft, Videcon, and Hikvision is desired
  • A proven ability to troubleshoot, identify, and suggest appropriate courses of action for issues and maintenance related to fire detection and alarm systems
  • Proven experience working in domestic and commercial environments
  • City and Guilds 236 parts 1&2 electrical installation or time-served equivalent is advantageous
  • 17th or 18th Edition Electrical qualification is desirable but not essential
  • A clean, valid driving licence is required
  • Adaptable, comfortable problem-solving autonomously, and not having a daily routine
  • Respect for health and safety of themselves, colleagues, and customers
