About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Process Development Scientist to join our team at taylorollinson Ltd. As a key member of our molecular biology team, you will be responsible for working on innovative projects to improve DNA synthesis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting experiments with E. coli using various molecular biology techniques, including DNA quantification, PCR, flow cytometry, and gel electrophoresis.
  • Planning, refining, and executing experiments that align with overall project plans.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and develop laboratory protocols.
  • Maintaining accurate records of experiments and results.

Requirements

  • BSc/MSc in a biological discipline + industry experience in process development or general molecular biology.
  • Experience working with E.coli (transformations, cloning, plasmid preparations, etc).
  • Expertise in several molecular biology techniques, including primer design, transfection, bacterial cell culture, plasmid amplification, DNA cloning, PCR, flow cytometry, plasmid purification, Golden Gate assembly, and Gibson assembly.
  • Existing right to work in the UK.
