Bookkeeping Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in North Leeds. As a senior member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and compliance with laws and regulations. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit accurate VAT returns and client books on a timely basis.
- Manage client finances, including processing transactions, reconciliations, and bank statements.
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and loan accounts.
- Maintain accurate records, ensuring timely submissions and compliance.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop financial strategies.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organisational skills, including time management and prioritisation.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
The salary for this position is estimated to be between £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
