Vantage Data Centers is a leader in the data center industry, committed to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients. As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced Compliance Director to join our team.
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Compliance Director who will be responsible for designing and implementing our compliance program in North America. This individual will work closely with our business leaders to ensure that our company maintains the highest standards of ethics and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of compliance regulations and laws, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance program to ensure adherence to local, national, and international regulations;
- Maintain and continuously improve Vantage's ethics and compliance program, including drafting, reviewing, and revising policies and procedures;
- Conduct compliance risk assessments to identify and address potential compliance issues;
- Implement the company's global anti-bribery and anti-corruption framework;
- Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards and update policies and procedures accordingly;
- Provide advice on compliance matters related to the company's operations, including real estate, construction, human resources, data privacy, permitting, and other areas as needed;
- Support ESG and D&I and corporate sustainability programs and initiatives;
- Implement and improve the company's compliance system tools, including the whistleblower hotline and case management tool;
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Compliance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred;
- JD from an accredited law school is required;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs, with a significant portion in the data center or technology industry;
- Significant compliance experience, including anti-bribery and anti-corruption, trade compliance, data privacy, internal investigations, and whistle blower/anonymous reporting;
- Corporate compliance and ethics experience, preferably at a premier law firm, governmental enforcement authority, and/or multi-nation company is desired but not required;
