Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a school in Telford. As a 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will be working closely with children who have special educational needs, such as autism.

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with pupils and assisting them on their learning journey. You should be able to demonstrate a fair attitude, apply rules consistently, and understand the subjects you will be supporting.

You will need to nurture supportive relationships with the children and demonstrate a practical, hands-on approach to supporting teaching. Additionally, you will be required to assist the children during lunchtime.

  • Experience or interest in supporting pupils with a range of needs, including Asperger's, Autism, ADHD, speech and/or language difficulties, and cerebral palsy.
  • Knowledge of successful strategies to engage pupils with specific and significant needs.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to timetabling and daily routines.
  • Enhanced DBS certification.

Please note that all applicants must meet the necessary qualifications and training requirements for this role. This is a temporary position, but there may be opportunities for it to become permanent in the future.

Salary Estimate: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum.
