Job Description:

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will support the Manufacturing Engineering team, learn production and assembly processes, and work with production support teams on process developments. This role will also involve supporting the business on a day-to-day basis through technical problem-solving techniques in a team environment with guidance from other members of the Manufacturing Engineering team.

  • Aid with technical problem solving through production & assembly.
  • Assist with Master Data creation & maintenance.
  • Production instruction creation & maintenance.
  • Design and order tooling & work holding.
  • Creation & maintenance of SOPs.
  • Team working on 8D and CAPA.
  • Take part in Setup reduction workshops.
  • Take part in Cycle time optimisation exercises.
  • Participation in production, scrap & project meetings as required.
  • Carry out other tasks or assignments linked to this position as directed by the Manufacturing Engineers or direct Line Manager.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of UK level 3 qualification preferred, other qualifications will be considered depending on experience.
  • Good English and Mathematics.
  • Exposure to CAD, tooling & work holding design, desirable.
