Job Title: Senior Production Engineer

Job Summary: Omega Resource Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Production Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for producing CNC programs for complex components, managing new part introduction, and implementing new cutting technologies to improve tool life and cycle time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement CNC programs for 4 & 5 axis machines and multi-axis turn-mills using Siemens NX and Vericut.
  • Manage new part introduction (NPI) for prototype and production projects with short lead times.
  • Implement new cutting technologies to improve tool life and cycle time.
  • Assist with departmental training and progression programs.
  • Estimate production times and associated costs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction within manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure health, safety, environmental, and energy considerations are met in all activities.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in machining and programming complex components, ideally within the automotive or aerospace industry.
  • Proficient in Siemens NX CAD/CAM system and Vericut simulation software.
  • Relevant engineering qualification (HNC or higher).
  • Thorough understanding of machining, cutting, and inspection techniques.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
