About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Marie Curie UK. As a key member of our end-of-life care team, you will provide high-quality care and support to patients and their families in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver personalized care and support to patients with terminal illnesses, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, promoting dignity and respect.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of patient records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in end-of-life care.

Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience in end-of-life care.
  • Current valid driving license and use of a car insured for business use.
  • Relevant experience in palliative care is desirable.
  • Emotional strength and ability to work independently, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
