Control/PLC Software Engineer

As a PLC Control Systems Specialist at Set2Recruit, you will be working on complex projects that require innovative solutions. Our client takes on demanding projects that involve engineering grid connections, integrating large-scale PV, wind, CHP, and EHV grids, and providing cutting-edge IoT-enabled SCADA systems and AI-enabled smart network control systems.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is at the forefront of achieving net zero in the energy sector. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing PLC control systems that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop PLC control systems that meet the client's requirements.
- Create I/O cards and select PLCs that are suitable for the project.
- Use CAD software to create panel layouts and I/O drawings.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for the project.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in PLC design and development.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD packages.
- Strong understanding of electrical control systems and PLC programming.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
