We are a prestigious independent school in Richmond dedicated to providing exceptional educational experiences for girls. Our Design and Technology department seeks a highly skilled and passionate Textiles Educator to lead our students in discovering the world of fashion, textiles, and design.

Job Summary:

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on students' lives by inspiring their creativity, technical skills, and design thinking. As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons, develop innovative curriculum initiatives, and foster positive relationships with students.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver D&T lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, focusing on textiles techniques such as sewing, weaving, knitting, and surface design.
  • Develop and implement curriculum initiatives that align with the school's vision and the latest advancements in D&T education.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Design and Technology or a related field, preferably with teaching qualifications.
  • Proven experience in teaching D&T, particularly in textiles.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for D&T, with a strong understanding of design processes, textile materials, and manufacturing techniques.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
