Job Summary

The Night Manager is responsible for overseeing all property operations during the overnight shift, ensuring the highest levels of hospitality and service are provided. This role represents property management in resolving guest or property-related situations, personally assisting in resolving issues and completing tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Monitoring Property Operations

Ensure compliance with all Guidelines to Operations.

Ensure employees are in proper uniform and are properly groomed.

Ensure employees are working in a safe environment.

Manage all period-end inventories.

Supporting Profitability and Revenue Goals

Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement.

Assist in responding and resolving guest issues received directly from guests or from Guest Relations.

Assist accounts receivable clerk in all aspects of job and in keeping all invoices due below 60 days.

Monitor chargebacks and rebates, and administer plans to keep them to a minimum.

Ensure all employees are adhering to proper cash handling procedures and monitor overage/shortages.

Manage employee hours.

Supporting Human Resources Activities

Promote participation in property safety-related programs.

Monitor employee attendance and records absences/tardiness.

Promote teamwork and employee morale.

Keep employees informed regarding new operational procedures, standards, or programs.

Assist supervisors in handling employee performance issues.

Ensure all employees have complete knowledge of emergency procedures.

Encourage employee relations through gifts, parties, and outings.

Create incentives that will promote better service and profit for the property.
