Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Class Teacher to join our dynamic team at Berkhamsted School. As a key member of our educational community, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to our students in the preparatory department.

The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and learning, with a proven track record of achieving excellent outcomes for their students. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement engaging lesson plans, incorporating a range of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.

Key Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all students
  • Assessing student progress and adjusting your teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement school policies and initiatives
  • Mentoring and supporting less-experienced teachers

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed.)
  • Experience of teaching in a similar setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including contributory pension scheme, life assurance, and generous holiday entitlement.
