Job Title: Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Baltimore Consulting Limited. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for providing specialist speech and language therapy services to schools within a London-based local authority.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and develop treatment plans for young people with specialist speech and language therapy needs.
  • Deliver interventions and evaluate outcomes for young people in special schools with a range of needs.
  • Provide training, advice, and support to colleagues in areas of specialism such as ASD, Epilepsy, Speech, and Language.
  • Work directly with schools and settings through a range of interventions.
  • Work with families of young people, the local authority, and schools to offer advice, support, and explanations.
Requirements:
  • Experience supporting and supervising trainee Speech and Language Therapists.
  • HCPC Registered.
  • Experience working in maintained or independent special schools.
  • Experience of working with pupils with special educational needs (SEN) in education.
  • Understanding of current legislation and guidance in relation to SEN and educational inclusion.
  • Specialist understanding of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Additional Educational Needs or Specific Speech and Language Impairment.
