Job Title: Facilities Engineer

Terumo BCT is a global leader in blood management, blood safety, therapeutic apheresis, cell therapy, and cell collections. We are seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer to join our team at our Larne site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WINs) to support facilities and utilities activities across the site.
  • Collaborate with maintenance technicians, production, H&S, and QA departments to ensure engineering, operational, H&S, and regulatory requirements are met within documentation.
  • Perform planned maintenance routines as required within specified timeframes.
  • Organize and manage outside contractors to perform PMs or conduct facility/utility repairs and improvements.
  • Ensure all engineering and contractor works are carried out effectively, safely, and in line with Safe Systems of Work, SOPs, and policies.
  • Liaise with relevant departments to schedule planned maintenance tasks and repairs, in line with production and GMP requirements.
  • Support management of the Plant Calibration System by producing Loop Certificates detailing calibration requirements for new utility instrumentation.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of critical systems and processes within the facility, such as the Building Management System (BMS), to support GMP manufacture.
  • Develop a high level of knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment to provide engineering support and offer continual improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Degree in an Engineering Discipline
  • 5 years post-qualification experience
  • Effective communication skills
