Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and deliver exceptional food standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing kitchens, a passion for cooking with fresh ingredients, and excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the kitchen team to achieve high food quality and presentation standards.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas, ensuring they align with our brand values.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling labor costs.
  • Train and develop junior staff members, including Apprentices and KP's.
  • Work closely with the management team to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Experience of working with fresh ingredients and demonstrating good chef/kitchen skills (food prep hot and cold, cleaning, knife skills, good hygiene practices).
  • A proven track record of managing through clear KPIs and making decisions considering labour; stock; food safety requirements plus others.
  • Familiarity with reporting on various metrics including GPs; labour/house; food preparation.
  • Demonstrated successful delivery of training and recruitment for kitchen teams.

Salary and Location

This role comes with a competitive salary of £45,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including overtime pay, staff discounts, paid breaks, and more. Our company is based in a vibrant city location, close to public transport links.
