Premises Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Premises Assistant to join our team at Rachel McMillan Nursery School and Children's Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and safety of the building and grounds, as well as maintaining equipment and consumables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the security and safety of the building and grounds
  • Maintain equipment and consumables
  • Perform a variety of practical tasks as required
  • Work collaboratively with the Premises Manager, School Business Manager, and Headteacher to ensure the smooth operation of the school
Requirements:
  • GCSE level or equivalent in spoken and written English
  • Previous experience of working in a school environment, with an emphasis on health and safety practice and ensuring the wellbeing and safety of all children and staff
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable and self-sufficient with an ability to prioritize work and use initiative
