Job Title: Senior Administrator

GEM Partnership is delighted to be exclusively working with Sunderland AFC in their recruitment of a Senior Administrator, reporting to the Chief Business Officer.

The Senior Administrator will be responsible for a varied and wide range of tasks including:

  1. Assisting the Executive team and the CBO with daily administration and initiatives for the Club.
  2. Overseeing special projects as directed by the executive team, ensuring deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.
  3. Supporting the day-to-day administration across various departments within the Club.
  4. Implementing processes within the role and within departments.
  5. Ensuring administrative systems and processes are efficient and well-managed.
  6. Preparing reports and presentations for management, board and external meetings.
  7. Organising and managing meetings and events including VIP guest lists, parking requirements and tickets.
  8. Co-ordinating diaries and arranging travel/accommodation.
  9. Liaising with members of the football community, which includes senior executives, and stakeholders outside of the Club.
  10. Attending matches, conferences and networking events as required.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong track record in administration who can demonstrate:

  1. A stellar track record in a similar Administrator role.
  2. Exceptional communication at all levels, proficient in verbal and written communication, with the ability to represent the CBO effectively.
  3. Discretion and confidentiality, handling sensitive information with integrity and professionalism.
  4. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Remaining calm under pressure and able to react when circumstances change at pace.
  6. Ability to work under pressure.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills.
  8. Ability to work collaboratively as a team when required.
  9. Understanding of the need for compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  10. Critical thinking skills.
  11. Professional and friendly demeanour.
  12. Thorough attention to detail and discretion.
  13. Self-motivated and proactive.
  14. Flexibility regarding working hours (i.e. evening and weekend matchdays).
