We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Fleet Planner to join our Planning Team on site. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing and managing daily transport plans for several major retail customers within the Wincanton network.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce and manage daily transport plans for major retail customers, including store deliveries, salvage collections, backhaul stock collections, and other work as required.
- Ensure plans are accurate and efficient, building upon feedback to make improvements to the plan.
- Manage day-to-day booking of agency drivers and support production of accurate driver rotas.
- Support and lead development changes, including seasonal, network, and project changes to delivery schedules.
- Help drive backhaul growth by working closely with the backhaul team to identify opportunity areas to target.
- Ensure cost-effective and efficient plans are produced on a daily basis for all transport operations.
- Develop planning tools and systems to drive commercial benefits and CI improvements across the contract.
- Support planning for future changes, developments, improvements, and customer requirements.
- Improve and develop forecasting to ensure resource is appropriately managed.
- Work with Customer Demand, Planning, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate information and plans are aligned and produced on a daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic basis.
- Help develop and grow synergy opportunities within the Wincanton network.
- Work with Transport Teams to create effective and controlled driver rotas.
- Develop best-in-class planning functions.
- Ensure plans are effectively resourced with core and agency drivers.
- Seek feedback on plans created and explore opportunities to improve plans using a variety of sources from driver forums, transport workshops, activity sheets, systems data, and store feedback.
- All contractual KPIs met/exceeded.
- Annual budget target achieved.
- Wincanton H&S targets achieved.
- Achievement of Gain share budget achieved through CI.
- Successful project implementations.
- Growth of backhaul offering.
