Senior Accountant/Manager Role

Puro Accountancy is delighted to be supporting a well-established accountancy practice in their search for a full-time permanent Senior Accountant or Accounts Manager to join their team of accountancy professionals.

You will play a crucial role in working with a diverse range of clients, providing comprehensive accounting services and financial guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting and tax services.
  • Prepare and review annual accounts, tax computations, and VAT returns.
  • Provide financial advice and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Mentor and lead junior team members, offering training and support as necessary.
  • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc assignments, showcasing flexibility and adaptability.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships, identifying avenues for business growth and development.

Requirements:

  • ACCA or ACA qualified
  • At least 3+ years of experience within a UK accountancy firm
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting
  • Experience with Excel, Xero, Sage, and other accounting software
  • Friendly disposition and a team player
  • Effective communicator, comfortable communicating with clients and peers at all levels
