Research Associate in Ocean Tracers

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team at Imperial College London, working with Prof Heather Graven and an international team to investigate the ocean's response to climate change.

About the Role

This 2-4 year fixed-term position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a large-scale research project, synthesizing and evaluating ocean tracer data, and developing new ocean biogeochemical models.

Key Responsibilities
  • PhD in Earth Sciences, Physics, Maths, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with research, computing, and data analysis
  • Knowledge of marine biogeochemistry (desirable)
  • Collaboration with an international team spanning the UK, US, Belgium, Germany, and South Africa
  • Travel support for conferences and secondments
  • Teaching opportunities in the Physics Department at Imperial
  • Contribution to a world-leading research project
