Job Description:

We are seeking a Childcare Support Role candidate to join our team at Teach In Scotland. The successful individual will provide support in various Kids Clubs and Wraparound Care services across the Perth and Kinross area.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in childcare while working towards a recognized qualification. As a Childcare Support Role holder, you will contribute to creating a safe and inclusive environment for children, supporting their learning and development.

The role involves assisting in the provision of high-quality care and engaging activities, such as arts and crafts, storytelling, den building, physical play, and organizing trips/outings. You will work closely with the Supervisor and be part of the Kids Club Team and wider School Team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care and engage children in various activities
  • Support the Supervisor and team members in achieving set goals
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for children

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • No entry qualifications are required; however, you will be required and supported to work towards a recognized childcare qualification
  • Demonstrate a commitment to achieving the required qualification within the specified timescales
  • Register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) for Day Care of Children within 3 months of commencing employment and maintain annual membership

Working Conditions:

The contracted hours are 18 hours per week, term-time only.
