Strategic Finance Leader for Not-for-Profit Organisation

We are working with a not-for-profit organisation in East Kent to find an Interim Finance Manager. This is a key role within the finance department, covering a period of 3-6 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a small finance team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Deputise for the Deputy Director of Finance when they are absent.
  • Oversee the production of monthly management accounts.
  • Contribute to profitability analysis, annual budgeting, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Review and oversee VAT returns.
  • Prepare statutory accounts at year-end.

This role will be based 1-2 days per week in our office in East Kent, with 3-4 days from home. Additional office days may be required depending on team needs.

Requirements

  • Qualified or Qualified by Experience.
  • Significant experience in managing and mentoring small teams.
  • Experience in producing management and statutory accounts.
  • Charity or not-for-profit sector experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Implementing new systems would also be valuable.

You should be able to start this role by November/December at the latest and commit fully for 3-6 months.

Benefits

  • Up to £50,000 on an hourly rate basis.
  • The flexibility to work from home for 3-4 days per week.
  • A 35-hour working week.
