Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated SEND teaching assistant to support children and young people aged 3-19 with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support Student Growth: Provide tailored support to help students reach their full potential.
  2. Promote Independence: Empower children to develop essential life skills and build confidence.
  3. Encourage Participation: Use creative strategies to encourage active participation and progress.
  4. Behavioural Support: Apply de-escalation techniques to create a calm learning environment.
  5. SEN Knowledge: Familiarity with SEN practices, including EYFS and KS1, is beneficial.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent is preferred.
  • Good English and Mathematics skills are desirable.
  • Previous experience with personal care or manual handling is advantageous.
