Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Geography Programme Manager to join our team at Ark Curriculum Plus. As a key member of our programme delivery team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation of our Geography programme across secondary schools.

About the Role

As a Geography Programme Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of our Geography programme, working closely with our partner schools and internal teams to drive excellence in teaching and learning. Your primary objective will be to design and deliver high-impact training, PD, and school development support that meets the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive programme strategy that supports excellence in Geography and aligns with our organisational mission and vision.
  • Lead the development of customer insights from the Geography programme, informing programme development and contributing to cross-functional working.
  • Implement pan-programme delivery decisions, ensuring seamless alignment with the school development team and maintaining high-quality delivery.
  • Liaise with the systems and partnerships team to drive ease of use and effective communication with customers, ensuring a smooth user experience.
  • Engage with ongoing PD and sector thinking, staying up-to-date with sector developments, legislative changes, and innovative practice in your subject and curriculum development.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the Geography programme, offering high-quality training, PD, and support to teachers and schools.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Understanding of the education landscape, including issues affecting education and delivering outstanding achievement in Geography.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and use of the current curriculum and assessment requirements, best practice in implementation and delivery of professional development.
  • Track record of providing professional development to teachers, including coaching, mentoring, and training.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of £47,000 - £52,000, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including:

  • 27 days annual leave, rising to 30 days after three years' service.
  • Full office closure between Christmas and New Year.
  • Hybrid working, with one day a week in our state-of-the-art office in West London.
  • Regular social events, monthly free breakfast, and daily fruit.
  • A flexible approach to working, with consideration for work-life balance and personal commitments.
