About the Role

Pertemps Network Group is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Excellence Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the integrity of our production and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and Establish Key Engineering Processes: Develop and implement key engineering processes in line with our Engineering Road Map to ensure seamless operations.
  • Deliver Cost-Effective Maintenance Programs: Design and implement cost-effective maintenance programs to meet our site demands for safety, quality, and performance.
  • Plan, Improve, and Execute Maintenance: Plan, improve, and execute maintenance of site equipment to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Develop and Implement PPM's and CMMS's Systems: Develop and implement Predictive Maintenance Programs (PPM's) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS's) to optimize maintenance operations.
  • Drive People Agenda and Talent Pipeline: Help drive the people agenda and focus on talent pipeline development to ensure the right competencies and behaviors within the department.
  • Support Operations and Analyze Failures: Support operations by analyzing and developing recommendations regarding failures and lost production, and identify and implement solutions to improve the system, standard work, and processes.
  • Lead Proactive Maintenance and Reliability Activities: Lead and implement proactive maintenance and reliability activities to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Communicate Effectively and Report on Status: Communicate effectively to report on the status of lines and equipment based on OEE, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead, Coach, and Guide Team Members: Lead, coach, and guide team members to ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with company and statutory requirements.
  • Drive Reliability-Centred Maintenance FMECA Activities: Drive and support reliability-centred maintenance FMECA activities to identify and mitigate potential failures.
  • Motivate Engineering Team: Motivate the engineering team through effective leadership and coaching to achieve excellence in maintenance and reliability.
  • Adhere to Planned Maintenance Schedules: Adhere to planned maintenance schedules through effective resource planning and ensure that all maintenance activities are completed on time.
  • Analyze CMMS's Data: Analyze CMMS's data to assist forward planning and identify opportunities for equipment improvements.
Requirements
  • Experience in Maintenance Environment: Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance environment, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Recognized Engineering Apprenticeship or Equivalent: Recognized engineering apprenticeship or equivalent in mechanical or electrical disciplines, or degree-trained.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work under own initiative in a high-speed environment.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Significant experience in leading and developing a team, with a strong ability to make logical decisions.
  • Quality Standards and Incident Impact: Knowledge of quality standards and the effect of incidents on quality.
  • Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective team worker, influencer, and communicator with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
