SEN Learning Support Assistant Job Opportunity

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant to work across primary and secondary schools in Braintree. This is a fantastic opportunity for those passionate about helping students with special education needs (SEN) to make a positive impact and support students to meet their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with their studies in one-to-one or small group settings, providing individualized support and guidance.
  • Support students with SEND, SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and other special needs in a classroom environment, promoting a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Work closely with teachers to prepare lessons according to the key stages, ensuring a structured and engaging learning experience.
  • Provide additional help to students according to the curriculum and syllabus, fostering a love of learning and academic achievement.
  • Assist with educational programs and help maintain a structured learning space, promoting organization and time management skills.

Requirements:

  • CACHE Level 2 or 3, or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Education, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Previous experience working as an SEN Learning Support Assistant in a school setting, with a strong understanding of SEND and SEMH.
  • Ability to support students on a one-to-one or small group basis, with strong communication and organizational skills.
