Customer Experience Manager Role

We're seeking a Customer Experience Manager to join our team at Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd. As a key member of our retail management team, you will be responsible for driving customer satisfaction and delivering operational excellence in our stores.

Your primary focus will be on managing a medium to large instore team, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible experience throughout their shopping journey. This will involve assigning tasks and planning breaks, creating rotas, addressing performance issues, and supporting the Lead Customer Experience Manager in delivering improved customer and retail outcomes.

You will also have the opportunity to work closely with another Customer Experience Manager, sharing ideas and identifying ways to improve our operations and customer service. As a visible leader on the shop floor, you will be a role model who drives training and creates a team where everyone feels welcome and valued.

In this role, you will be confident in being direct with your team, providing honest feedback and guidance to help them develop their skills and performance. You will also be committed to helping your team put themselves in the customers' shoes, taking genuine pride in how we deliver a better service.

About the Role

  • Manage a medium to large instore team, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational excellence
  • Assign tasks and plan breaks, create rotas, and address performance issues
  • Support the Lead Customer Experience Manager in delivering improved customer and retail outcomes
  • Work closely with another Customer Experience Manager to share ideas and improve operations and customer service
