M4 Recruitment is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our client's team at Chipping Warden. This is a permanent position with an immediate start.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Technician to work in our client's workshop. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining vehicles to specific manufacturer guidelines and ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out vehicle health checks as part of a flow line.
- Work with the Garage Support and Technician Team to promote consistent productivity in the Workshop, ensuring there is no unnecessary downtime.
- Ensure the correct completion of all mechanical job-related documentation, reporting any issues found, any parts required, and detailing work completed.
- Detect any vehicle defects and/or symptoms of impending failure and report to our controller if repairs cannot be carried out on site.
- Occasionally, carry out minor repairs, servicing, and tyre replacements.
- Responsibility for housekeeping within your work area.
- Carrying out other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required.
- City & Guilds 1 & 2 in Motor Vehicle Studies or Higher BTEC.
- Relevant experience in a workshop environment.
- Good awareness of quality standards.
- Has a professional attitude, building and maintaining strong relationships with internal departments.
