Job Description

We are currently recruiting an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team on a MEPH project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and undertake project workload, allocating tasks to personnel as directed by the Senior Project Manager.
  • Review and interpret proposed designs, ensuring compliance with obligations and standards.
  • Work with the design team to achieve purchasing economy in the project.
  • Ensure project engineering meets design specifications and standards.
  • Monitor project deliverables and direct work sequencing to expedite delivery.
  • Carry out design checks on consultant designs to ensure compliance and suitability.
  • Compile technical sub-contract enquiries with detailed scope and compliance requirements.
  • Attend model reviews and carry out drawing reviews to ensure final project drawings are detailed and compliant.
  • Establish good working relationships with suppliers to ensure optimum response and delivery.
  • Identify main sub-contract packages of work, arrange reviews, and liaise with the Projects Quantity Surveyor.
  • Monitor and coordinate work performed by junior engineers and directly employed labour force.
  • Represent the business at meetings with customers, consultants, sub-contractors, and other relevant organisations.
  • Inspect and monitor the quality of installed works, reviewing zero defects reports and ensuring compliance with specifications.
Requirements:
  • Degree-qualified engineer (BSc/BEng) preferred.
  • Technical competence in Mechanical Engineering & Design.
  • Detailed analysis skills.
  • Experience on MEPH projects.
