About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team in Plymouth. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead shifts and deputise for the Registered Manager as required
  • Ensure that our team of Residential Care Workers are up to date with mandatory learning and assist with their individual development
  • Communicate with the on-site team and raise awareness of individual care plans and their implementation
  • Maintain accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets, and files
  • Contribute to team and staff meetings to facilitate good communication and staff development
  • Provide support and care to young people within our services
  • Encourage young people in their preparation to re-enter education or engage in their current schooling
  • Travel with young people to and from school or college
  • Prepare food at meal times and maintain the home environment
  • Organise and facilitate social activities
Requirements
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence
  • Must have the desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • 12 months senior experience working in a Residential setting is highly desirable
