Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Amazon UK Services Ltd. in Sheffield, ZET, GBR. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team that ensures the smooth operation of our logistics network, focusing on safety, efficiency, and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Create and drive a culture of safety and wellbeing within the team
- Analyse and implement changes to maintain high-quality and productivity levels
- Oversee projects to streamline processes, optimise productivity, and improve customer service
- Monitor shift performance and implement actions to improve operational excellence
- Collaborate with management-level colleagues to standardise shift practices
As an Operations Manager, you will work on a shift pattern at one of our sites, focusing on owning and driving a culture of safety and upholding quality and shift performance standards. You will also oversee process improvements within your area and drive implementation. A typical day will be varied, including routine team management, daily operational responsibilities, process improvement, and operational contingency tasks.
About the TeamAmazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilise creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers. Our goal is to make our customers' delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts, like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants.
Our team is people-focused and supportive, particularly as lots of our people work through the night. We focus mostly on operations, with 24/7 shifts in most of our locations.
Requirements- A degree
- Relevant experience in people management
- Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership
- Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and local language
