Job Title: Recycling Team Leader

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Recycling Team Leader to join our team at Coveris - Winsford. As a Recycling Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the recycling department and ensuring the efficient operation of our polythene film production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the departmental manager in achieving operational KPIs and objectives.
  • Ensure machines run efficiently and to production plan, in cooperation with maintenance.
  • Maintain health & safety standards and report any deviations to plan, machine issues, and faults in a timely manner.
  • Organise requirements ensuring controlled handovers.
  • Ensure quality of production using tools and procedures.
  • Conduct daily random quality control checks and ensure all results are accurately recorded.
  • Ensure all training for both new and existing team members are up to where required.
  • Ensure finished product packaging is completed to specification and sufficient for customer expectation.
  • Control manning resources for shifts, assess requirements, and control overtime where required.
  • Monitor and deliver all relevant task cards or SOPs.
  • Monitor and complete return to work interviews, liaising with HR as required.
  • Manage breaks and holidays with minimal disruption to production and manning levels.
  • Be responsible for team members, challenging non-compliant behaviour and escalating issues with senior management/HR where required.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, completing daily hygiene audits and maintenance of housekeeping.
  • Ensure compliance to work tickets, job specification sheets, and task cards.
  • Accurately complete all production-related controlled documents.
  • Maintain the knowledge and skills required to interact effectively with prerequisite systems.

Key Skills:

  • Desirable: Manufacturing experience, continuous improvement experience, experience using management systems such as AS400, FLT licence.
  • Essential: Understands manual/labour intensive aspect of role, computer literate/MS Office experience.
