Senior Java Developer Wanted

Synechron Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join their team in Glasgow, Scotland.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a global consulting firm focused on accelerating digital initiatives in Financial Services. As a Senior Java Developer, you will be part of a collaborative agile development team, working on critical systems that meet the ever-changing regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop functionality in an iterative fashion, collaborating with business analysts, product owners, and other developers within the scrum team.
  2. Work primarily as a Java Developer, utilizing your expertise in Java 8 and Spring to build high-quality systems.
  3. Contribute to the development of systems that are critical to the business, while working with others to solve problems and meet the dynamic regulatory environment.
Requirements
  • Strong communication skills and an excellent command of English.
  • Core Java (minimum Java 8, Java 15 preferred) and Spring.
Desirable Skills
  • Working with Data warehouses or MPP databases such as Greenplum.
  • Big data analytics technologies such as Spark.
  • Use of commercial cloud technologies and frameworks.
  • Experience in banking and regulatory reporting (MIFID, SFTR, EMIR, CFTC, MAS, ASIC, etc.).
  • Knowledge of financial products and the lifecycle of a trade.
