We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Gym and Fitness Instructor to join our team at Northampton High School. As a Gym and Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality fitness sessions to pupils and staff, promoting physical activity and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Work with the Director of Sport to ensure that pupils can use the Fitness suite during allocated Games sessions, Enrichment sessions, and PE lessons as required by the curriculum.
- Help young people identify personal goals and develop personalized fitness programs tailored to support and motivate them.
- Offer fitness sessions in the gym for staff as part of the staff Wellbeing program.
- Undertake induction for pupils and staff using the equipment as needed.
- Demonstrate use of the equipment and devise appropriate activities for groups of pupils and staff in consultation with the Director of Sport or other Sport Staff.
- Record and monitor daily safety checks of the gym equipment.
- Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification is essential.
- Experience of instructing in a fitness suite is required.
- Being trustworthy and reliable is of utmost importance.
