About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in South Bristol. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students who face emotional regulation challenges, often due to trauma. Your primary responsibility will be to provide emotional support and guidance to students, helping them navigate their emotions and behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students who face emotional regulation challenges
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support students' emotional well-being
  • Assist students with their academic and personal needs, including helping with homework and providing one-to-one support
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional learning
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement behavior management strategies
