Plasterboard Fitter

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Plasterboard Fitter to join our team at Thorn Baker Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all plasterboard joints are sealed correctly, preparing surfaces for painting, and reporting any quality or design issues to the Production Supervisor.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You should also be punctual and reliable, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Sealing all joints between plasterboards
  
• Preparing wall and ceiling surfaces for painting
  
• Reporting all quality/design problems to the Production Supervisor
  
• Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with Health and Safety legislation and company procedures
  
• Working at heights using steps and A-frame ladders
  
• Operating hand tools such as scrapers, batch pans, and jointing boxes
  
• Carrying out tasks in accordance with Elements Europe drawings and specifications

Requirements:

• 
  
• Taping and Jointing Certificate (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) is preferred but not essential
  
• Previous experience carrying out similar tasks
  

Salary Information:

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
