The mortuary provides a comprehensive service to the local borough councils and the Trust, including body storage, post-mortem examinations, and facilities for relatives to visit. As a Funeral Services Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office, handling administrative tasks, and providing excellent customer service to bereaved families.
Main Responsibilities
- To maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- To coordinate funeral arrangements and provide support to families during this difficult time
- To work closely with pathologists, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
- To maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of GCSEs at A-C grade or equivalent, including English and Maths
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
