We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our client on a temporary to permanent basis. The role involves providing electrical and mechanical duties in Manchester, working on a day shift basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Evaluate and maintain the electrical and mechanical equipment at the facility, focusing on electrical engineering and PLC programming.
  2. Collaborate with the Maintenance and Test Team Leader to develop and implement planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules for key equipment.
  3. Work closely with the production team to improve site processes through continuous improvement activities.
  4. Develop and lead a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategy, incorporating automation of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and machine condition monitoring.
  5. Perform routine maintenance and repairs of site infrastructure, machines, equipment, tooling, buildings, and other facilities as needed.
  6. Write and enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the site.
  7. Foster collaboration and continuity across shifts with production operators and other maintenance engineers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of factory/industrial maintenance.
  • Limited knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is advantageous, particularly industrial engineering.
  • Previous experience in drives, controls, HMI's, and hydraulic equipment maintenance is essential.
