About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Engineering team to ensure that products meet established standards of quality, reliability, and performance. The primary focus of this role will be on PPAP activities with our main customer, but you will also support other quality assurance functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with the customer Engineering team and our Product Manager to ensure specifications are met and achieved from engineering drawings and our manufacturing environment.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards.
  • Monitor and maintain quality control records and documentation.
  • Conduct regular audits of production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
  • Use SAP system to reject non-conforming parts back to suppliers.
  • Carry out PPAP for customer parts to the requirements laid out in the customer manuals.
Requirements
  • Degree or relevant technical certification in a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience in a quality assurance or inspection role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
  • Previous PPAP knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with customer-facing and communication.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in using inspection and testing equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and other quality control methodologies.
