We are currently seeking an experienced HGV mechanic to join our team as a Heavy Vehicle Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and repairs to VOSA standard, as well as diagnosing and rectifying faults.

Job Summary:

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced HGV mechanic to join our team and contribute to the success of the Institute of the Motor Industry Limited. As a Heavy Vehicle Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all vehicles are serviced and repaired to the highest standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs to VOSA standard
  • Diagnose and rectify faults, maintain product knowledge, and attend training courses
  • Liaise with parts department and complete job cards and service sheets in a timely manner
  • Attend disabled vehicles at the roadside or customer premises

Requirements:

  • Current driving licence
  • IRTEC Accredited
  • Technical qualification or proven experience repairing & maintaining vehicles
  • HGV and PSV licence
  • Experience in commercial workshop
