Assistant Accountant Job Opportunity

Nxtgen Recruitment is pleased to be working with a well-established local organisation based in Attleborough. Our client is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Accountant to join their team. This role will report directly to the Finance Controller and will play a key role in assisting with the day-to-day tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and reports
  • Support with budgeting and forecasting, VAT returns, and cashflow analysis
  • Prepare and process payroll
  • Assist with journals, accruals, and prepayments
  • Support non-finance teams with key business decisions
  • Closure of ledgers and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare supplier payments
Requirements:

We are looking for an individual with an AAT qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role. It is essential that you have assisted with monthly management accounts and have a proven track record in this type of position. Experience is a key factor for our client, and they will consider candidates without an AAT qualification.
