This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our condiments manufacturing facility in Peterborough, UK. Our vision is to build a sustainable and innovative factory that supports our Flavour Solutions customers.
Main Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain processing and packing equipment, adhering to safety and quality protocols.
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Execute equipment start-up and shutdown procedures safely and efficiently.
- Monitor and adjust production processes to optimize quality and productivity.
- Prepare production documents, including batch records, quality records, and inventory reports.
- Adjust process variables to ensure high-quality finished products.
- Perform Autonomous Maintenance activities, including cleaning, inspection, and lubrication of equipment.
- Detect and troubleshoot equipment abnormalities to prevent future issues.
- Maintain equipment performance by understanding equipment structure and functions.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical control systems.
- Work independently or with a team to resolve problems and improve processes.
- Ensure compliance with Company Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Environmental requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production role, preferably in food and drinks manufacturing.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills, including English and Maths qualifications.
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment structure and functions.
- Ability to understand the relationship between quality values and the company's brand and image.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a flexible approach to working.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards work and colleagues, with the ability to work in a team.
