Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Innovation Specialist to join our team at Staffline Recruitment (NI) Ltd. as a Product Development Chef. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and exploring new food products to maintain and develop sales in accordance with agreed business plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret Development Briefs: Interpret development briefs in line with customer expectations and company business plans.
  • Culinary Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrates culinary knowledge and skills to create new recipes to satisfy customer briefs.
  • Product Development: Preparing/cooking new products for customers to sample, including hospitality for visits.
  • Customer Presentations: Assist and present in customer presentations and product submissions, demonstrating interpersonal skills.
  • Market Trends: Up-to-date knowledge of food styles, restaurant & food industry market trends, and competitor activity, translating food trends into relevant and commercially viable product development.
  • Communication: Communicate new ideas to the wider NPD team where relevant.
  • Project Management: Take responsibility for short-term or long-term projects where required.
  • Documentation: Completion of basic documentation and recipe record keeping on recipe system.
  • Site Capabilities: Understand site capabilities and attend development trials when necessary.
  • General Duties: General kitchen & culinary duties, general cleaning duties, and compliance with all hygiene regulations.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Share knowledge with other employees and all new starts.

Requirements:

  • Catering Qualification: Relevant catering qualification required.
  • Experience: Experience in working in a kitchen environment.
  • Recipe Implementation: Skills: Food Recipes Development.
