Job Summary:

Zenith People is seeking an experienced Lead Machinist with expertise in Manual Turning to join our client's team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Coordination: Oversee the daily operations of the machine shop, ensuring efficient production and adherence to quality standards.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure compliance with product quality, safety, and environmental requirements, conducting near-miss and accident investigations as needed.
  • Supervision: Provide daily supervision and support to employees in the work cell(s), directing machine operators and support personnel to meet production schedules.
  • Reporting: Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production reports, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Education: Apprenticeship in CNC or equivalent, with a strong understanding of machining processes and principles.
  • Certifications: Time-Served CNC Apprenticeship, with a focus on Manual Turning and Colchester machines/lathes.
  • Experience: Hands-on experience with Manual Turning/Machining, with a proven track record of leadership and team management in a similar environment.
