Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Manager to join our dynamic Risk department. As a Quantitative Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Retail IRB models, ensuring alignment with business strategies, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of quantitative modellers to develop models that meet strategic IRB requirements, ensuring high-quality documentation and adherence to timelines.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to plan, build, validate, approve, implement, and utilise the developed models.
- Provide model assurance to maintain model effectiveness and accuracy.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for retail IRB models.
- Manage technical analysts, including line management responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Experience with Basel IRB modelling requirements and regulations, with a proven track record in Credit Risk modelling (IRB/IFRS9).
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with expertise in relevant mathematical approaches and advanced computer literacy (SAS, Python, or R).
- Degree in a highly numerate subject or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge in quantitative and analytical solutions.
- Background in statistics, finance, or advanced analytics.
Additional Information:
- The role can be based in Milton Keynes or Manchester.
- They offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern, requiring at least 12 days per month in the office for Milton Keynes and 5 days per month for Manchester (pro-rata for part-time roles).
