Our client, a leading sheet metal and fabrication company, is seeking a highly skilled Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical and Mechanical) to join their team.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. As a maintenance engineer, you will be responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery, ensuring a responsible and organised approach to maintenance.
  2. You will oversee routine maintenance, organise repairs, and be involved with control and monitoring devices, as well as the manufacture of items that aid in maintenance.
  3. Your role is crucial to the efficiency, development, and progress of manufacturing and processing industries, working with other professionals to improve production facilities, reduce costly breakdowns, and develop strategies for overall reliability and safety.
  4. Your work will involve extended periods on the factory floor and tight deadlines in response to breakdown emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure all legal requirements regarding machinery and lifting equipment are met.
  2. Control contractors and appropriate permit to work documentation.
  3. Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults.
  4. Liaise with production and engineering colleagues.
  5. Control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment.
  6. Improve health and safety policies and procedures.
  7. Understand a range of engineering functions and procedures.
  8. Additional working time may be required to ensure an effective service is operational.
