Geography Teacher Job Description

Step Teachers is seeking a dedicated and passionate Geography Teacher to join their team at a "Good" Ofsted-rated school. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons to a class of well-behaved and enthusiastic Secondary level pupils aged 11 to 18.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement effective lesson plans that cater to the needs of diverse learners.
  • Maintain a well-organised classroom environment, ensuring the safe use and storage of equipment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Comply with school policies and procedures, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
Requirements:
  • Hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Have recent 2+ years' experience as a Secondary level Geography Teacher.
  • Demonstrate a good level of classroom and behaviour management.
