Job Title: Electrical Power Systems Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Power Systems Engineer to join our team at Central Power Services. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical generator installation, testing, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and test electrical control and power cabling between generators, changeover panels, switchboards, and ancillary equipment.
  • Conduct on-site testing and fault finding, and perform modifications as required.
  • Commission and service generators at customer premises.
  • Perform generator load testing and electrical repairs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in diesel generator installation and testing.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a diesel generator commissioning engineer.
  • Knowledge of various manufacturer's equipment.
  • NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND in Electronic / Electrical.
  • City & Guilds 2395 / 2396 or 2392 / Inspect & Test.
  • Manufacturers Training Courses.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Served a recognised electrical apprenticeship.
  • Computer literate, with experience in PLC languages and other software.
  • Experience in a variety of Alternator makes and types.
  • Experience in diesel engine diagnostics.
